Queens and Kings, One and ALL: ‘What Comes Around Goes Around‘ is what we’re dealing with, SisterBrotherGirrrlStars, DivaDaddyDollBearCubs, SatyrNymphCentaurAngels, and LoverBoiMotherFuckers! Alas, the only thing that can shift the old socialized gender role paradigms that we’ve been dragging around is for each and every one of us to give a make-over to our personal beliefs, our ways of seeing and being, as collective transformation comes down to us. Father/Teacher archetype Saturn has returned after thirty years to present us with an opportunity to ‘Sexpand’ this Great Circle to suit a new era of liberated and limitless gender possibilities. It’s time to put on a fresh number that serves the fearless love in the roots of our ancient Faerie nature, and to recognize the powerful magick in our deliciously queer pangender Radical Faerie community (pan- used in the sense ‘of all, universal,' as well as in the sense of the goat god, Pan, renowned for his playful sexuality).
The original Radical Faerie vision of creating sanctuary for gay males and their friends has been most suckcessfully realized, regardless of the not-so-hot and heavy topic of equal genitalia attendance as either an enrichment or detriment in regards to the idea of what sanctuary is for some Faeries. (I use ‘genitalia’ rather than ‘gender’ to clarify the issue.) There has always been femininity in Faerie circles, with invocations of the Goddess and talk of ‘Queens’ and ‘Sisters,' but some Faeries with dicks have not felt comfortable with pussies around. There are reasons for this. There were wounds, but surely these issues are moving into our past. Saturn singsongs, ‘That was then, this is NOW.‘ And now, what? Purrrhaps we could take a lesson in genderfuck cooperation from trees. They’re all in it together or else there isn’t a forest. Every good Faerie knows that forests make the Earth a better place to be, and forests full of Faeries that make more forests might be a considered a paradise in the making. Come one, come all!
So, let’s get into the ‘asstrology’ of this Satyrn Return and explore how it can affect our genital vs. gender politics! The future is calling us to create it, and Saturn is holding the keys to an evolutionary gateway of ‘sexponential’ wisdom and clarity. The ruler of Capricorn, Saturn is an influence of great force and power on the horny goat’s path. Its full circle return signifies a time to check ourselves as a community, and assure that we are aligned to the beliefs and practices that will expand us into the next cycle of growth and evolution. As Saturn opens doors of opportunity for us to journey into, the discomfort of a Saturn Return struggle is brought on by going against the grain of our wisdom’s conscience, by resisting growth, by continuing in patterns of fear from lessons already learned. It’s about healing and coming more into one’s true self. Coming more sounds good! Are we up for the healing? Do we know what it is that we are healing?? We are healing issues of separation and self love/trust. We are bringing the ‘come’ and the ‘unity’ in ‘community’ back together! Many of us that have existed in the gay counterculture have recognized the challenge of expanding ‘gay’ to ‘queer’ as the two-spirited bi-poly-pan-trans supernatural metaphysical cosmic divine creature self is emerging! This calling of our mystical wildside makes it all the more thrilling to breakthrough to the other side of the predefined ‘gay means only one way’ cultural boundaries by acting on taboo attraction to oppositely sexed beings within the ‘gay‘ community. This potentially threatens not only our own hard-won homo identities, but our acceptance by our gay community. Is our community ready to release their expectations of conditional love and let ‘queer’ keep revealing the unpredictable weirdness of our magickal subculture and our own ever changing nature? Obviously no Faerie wants the ‘homo-free-for-all‘ nature that has been established in Radical Faerie culture to swing back to a dominant hetero cultural paradigm. It will take faith to explore the these growth possibilities within our tribe. We can create a healthy balance of perceived feminine and masculine behaviors within a heathen lifestyle, integrating the polarities into a mutable fluidity that transcends gender! Playing together like this, we can create friendships and create a sense of family that is stronger than the sense of community brought about only through sexual identity. Its also pretty fucking fun to experience a play-party cuddle puddle with Faeries dressed up every witch way with allnot being a mean queen, and by learning how to play it safe while still getting dirty! the genitalia in the mix! What does it mean to be Fae? We embrace the revealing nature of our essential being as water, air, fire, earth.
